The whole point of finding an enemy to pin everything on is that they have to be a minority, or not even in the voter base. EU beurocrats, Asylum seekers - great enemies. No representation, tiny minorities nothing they can do to answer back.

But the SNP isn't a tiny minority that can't answer back. They've got 50 seats in the commons and a very vocal leader. Labour aren't a tiny minority, they have a 30 point lead in the polls.

7 million people in the UK are part of a union. Podcasts are becoming one of the biggest media platforms on the planet.


The conservatives needed a new enemy, but instead of piloting each of them in focus groups and with trial baloons until one sticked and they found their new scapegoat, they just lumped 80% of the country in together and said "you're a coalition".

To which everyone is going to say "Yes. And we want you to fuck off out of government".

You are safe from 10am for most of the day as James is followed by Shiela Fogerty who is also sensible and decent. Just on Liz picking a fight with everyone, it was the subject of a two hour phone in last week where the conclusion was reached that the AGC consists of 95% of the country. Has there ever been a more stupid bunch than what we have just now.
