I like the logic of recalling parliament to debate for one day's session on Wednesday by which time Afghanistan will already have a new flag and national anthem.

It doesn't matter, they are in power and if there was an election tomorrow they'd win.

You hold them to a standard which in political terms is irrelevant.

Unless that changes, and it seems unlikely, it'll be the same tomorrow and the same next week.

A head of steam might be building up but it has nowhere to go.

Eventually a significant proportion of the electorate will be so unhappy with this Tory government, that there will be a clamour for a new government, a new Tory government.

And the Tories will provide it.
