I don't think one should exclude all other forms of work, but in principle, I agree. A qualified doctor or lawyer should be able to practise, though I would distinguish between a lawyer doing pro bono work and the likes of Geoffrey Cox.One is a hospital dr that worked through the pandemic , that is the only second job that should be allowed
There's also the peculiar case of Douglas Ross. He thinks it's somehow acceptable to be simultaneously the Westminster MP for Moray, the Holyrood MSP for the Highland and Islands, and yet still find time to be a professional football official.
