What utter horseshit this is.

Not investigating crimes that happened in the past frees up more time to investigate future crimes though, so that's a plus. Anyone who doesn't like this seems a lot like the sort of person I think might have to be thrown in jail for future crimes imo

Met appear to be falling back on a policy decision rather than a legal position. I understand there’s a 3 year limit on charges being proferred. This actually smacks of self interest from those at the very top of the Met. Shameful.
