The Conservative Party

You could say it is unbelievable except that it is believable. The greatest act of self harm ever perpetrated on a country. Lest you forget, no import checks means that we loose out on over £30bn in import duties every year. As I have said previously, that is a lot of hospitals.
Not only believable but entirely predictable.
Remember al those experts that Gove told us that we’d had enough of ?
Remember ‘project fear’?
Remember all those business people who told us of impending disaster?
And still some will cling to it.
Its an approach based on their own dogmatic hatred of the EU and they plan to cover it up by throwing as much shit out on a daily basis to confuse the thick sheep who support them and share their hatred.
The lying fraud told us that himself- throw out as many gaffes as you can and the media and public will not know where to look.
What a way to organise (?) your life never mind a way to run a country.
’ Yeah, but it would be worse under labour’

It's almost the reverse of the boy crying wolf tale. Cause outrage so often that people become numb to it and it becomes normal so they don't react the next time. Only this time the wolf is the one crying wolf and he's eating all the villagers babies.

Do they really think we are that stupid - for a number of years there have been warnings of aging GP's retiring in increasing numbers and many from the EU going home after the referendum then as the pandemic hit and not coing back - on the other side of the seesaw we don't train enough

I read a few pieces where GPs were getting older while the young ones weren’t being paid a decent wage to keep the NHS going.

Just like the problem with the Justice system, those that are supposedly there to protect are left on less than minimal wage, and expenses.

Not sure its less than minimum wage but it is the old issue of differentials - being a GP was a good earner retire well off etc etc - however earnings HAVE fallen behind others - the problem for us mere mortals is that folk with the inclination and ability to move into these fields see it can be better to become say a surgeon than a GP - then if you become a vet thanks to pet insurance you can charge £50k to operate on someone's cat even worse dentistry is a proper earner and thats from them all going private..........

Sorry, didn’t mean to conflate the 2 areas. GPS are paid a very good wage but it is not only a job, it’s a vocation that some no longer see as beneficial to them. As for young public lawyers, there’s been no investment in them for years which is part of the reason why our justice system is so backlogged.

Just like all areas of public life, under funded for years which leaves us with poor services across the board.

Sky have the Trevelyan on and they’re talking about local elections. She’s just managed to get the full bingo card out in one sentence. NHS, Policing, Ukraine, and on, and on.

I’m looking forward to all these things coming to fruition.

Yesterday, in the space of just a few hours, we had the full spectrum of the health of the NHS. R4, shortage of oncology nurses etc, lunchtime shortage of NHS dentists then followed by shortage of GPs. Yet, according to the Nasty Party, they are spending lots of money; shame it is being given to the private sector.

Spot on, there's a recruitment/retention crisis in young (and older) public lawyers that is only going to compound the problems caused by the pandemic. Yet another area of public life that is going to rack and ruin through incompetence and wilful neglect.
