Last election (different leader granted) anything labour put forward to improve the country was labelled "talking the country down" why give the Tories 2 years to use that as an attack? There's a long time before any election, we know the right wing press will latch onto anything (from not wearing a tie to eating a sandwich wrong) to smear and fling mud, labour has always fallen into these obvious traps, don't do it this far out.
