Zahawi's rant this morning is just evidence that they have run out of road now and have no convincing lies to tell. His claim that they had 2000 members of the Armed Forces and Civil Service to step in ( the PCS Union has already got a balloted mandate for strikes so what are they going to do? Go on strikes then go in work as emergency cover ? ) - is a squaddie going to drive a train - No. Is a Civil Servant a trained paramedic - No - the list goes on - in any event there will be tens of thousands across various skill sets out on many days - can 2000 amateurs fill that gap?

Never mind that, he got his Putin jibe in so mission accomplished.

We've got the return of the enemy within.

They really do think we are stupid don't they, but they are running out of people prepared to let them take the piss.

It was all very unedifying and quite uncomfortable viewing.
That an educated grown man should have to sit there and say those things.
It’s almost as if the pathetic lies have taken on a life of their own and are invading people’s souls like a sort of political ‘invasion of the body snatchers’
I started to feel almost sorry for him, then I gave myself a good slap to remember the damage and destruction he and his cohort have inflicted on us.
Oh, and can anyone remember if he said the ‘B’ word at any point?
