The Conservative Party

MH crisis patients have always attended A&E. Its where the crisis team assess them initially. It’s also the safest place for them as there are usually other medical issues to take care of such as self harm/OD. 20 yrs ago when I was ward based it wouldn’t be unusual to ask a relative to push a wheelchair if they were able. There’s an enormous amount of people that take the piss but picking on MH patients in A&E who are generally at there lowest point is cruel and selfish. Everyone sat in A&E is looking around the room for an excuse for why they have to wait.
I’m picking on the fucking system!! Are you this dense you can’t read my post correctly.

Hope she’s on the mend mate. Must have been terrifying that.

Hospitals up and down the country are packing in extra beds to try and deal with discharging issues (typically lack of suitable space outside the acute setting), clearing of back logs, and usual winter pressures. We’re seeing 7 beds in bays designed for 6. If this is happening across all wards it’s giving a little over 16% increase in bed capacity but with no change in staff numbers it’s small wonder they don’t have enough staff for everyday tasks and what staff there are are run off their feet. It also creates practice that might be deemed undesirable as it’s much harder for staff to navigate around beds in this configuration and everything is just that little bit more chaotic.
She’s ok thank you. And totally agree, the underfunding is an absolute disgrace.

You’re picking on a system you’ve got no idea about. I was rude to you last night and I apologise for that. I’d just finished a 13hr shift in a walk in centre and was tired.

Apology accepted mate, been a long day too for myself and didn’t explain myself clearly as I should have.
It’s not the system but the lack of funding to it that’s my issue, not enough resources and it’s having a huge impact.
I work in logistics and we have our resources right on the limit to what we’re forecasting each day, it runs way too tight at times and no real room for manoeuvre and staff are asked to cover absence at the drop of a hat and I don’t agree with it.
To do it in the NHS with lives on the line and when anything can happen on a daily basis is madness. It needs a huge funding increase, better pay for all and better conditions.

The way things are going and likely to continue to go by the time of the next scheduled GE it will be obvious to even the least engaged voters that Brexit was sold on a pack of lies.

If I was a Tory strategist I might be advising to go to the polls sooner rather than later to limit the damage.

Their strategy, however, appears to be to soldier on and hope something turns up. Maybe a little war will do the trick.
No way will they go early, they still have plans to fuck the country up some more while enriching their donors.
