Went to A&E first thing this morning as my partner woke up bleeding, she had a hysterectomy 10 days ago and this shouldn’t be happening as I’m sure you would know.
4 hours sat there whilst we had half a dozen time wasters, mental issues all of them, who shouldn’t be using up A&E resources but proper specialised care. It used to be for genuine emergencies but now they’re just spread too thin to cope.

After being taken up to Gynaecology for assessment I was asked would I mind wheeling her down for a scan as there wasn’t enough porters to deal with it. I did it gladly but shouldn’t have to but this government have cut so much that it’s a joke.

That’s where we’re now at as a country, not enough resources in the right areas, any area really, and I just can’t see it getting any better.

Where should folk with ‘mental issues’ go during a crisis? What’s the problem with you wheeling your lass down for a scan? Makes perfect sense.

I think perhaps they know they are toast and are determined to die on a far right wing public school bottom boy shield to whip up their real core support. Why would you not at least negotiate with NHS worker's. It defies rational analysis. Up the offer a bit to at least show compassion. However they have non. I know lots of Tories and they have none either.

Great post. This crisis has been a long time in the making. To be fair it probably started even before this disastrous government, though clearly has escalated in the past decade. The whole political system has failed us. It is old-fashioned and too slow to react in a globalised digital world. Power and wealth has been centralised in one part of the UK and the infrastructure everywhere has been left to rot. We have a low-wage, low-skilled, workforce compared to other developed nations. This didn't happen by accident and can't be blamed on Covid or Putin.
While this decline has been happening the media and politicians have been fixated by the Brexit sideshow. Even now the press are more interested in a feud in the Royal Family than the collapse of the NHS.

These tawts need to be made answerable, lesson's need to be learnt.
