They seem to miss the big problems that the country is facing and want to try to get their readers in a mad frenzy about something other than the big problems.

Oh, I nearly forgot, there is the possibility that what they are getting their readers to clutch their pearls in horror about might actually help to prevent some people from getting ill and prevent putting more pressure on the NHS when it’s in an absolutely dire situation right now.
