The Conservative Party

left the economy in a dire straight, with a deficit way out of control and borrowing through the roof. Of course supporters will blame all of that on the crash of 2008 and none of it down to Labour.

Since then the Tories have tried to repair the economic car crash through austerity.

When are they going to repair it exactly? Because it's been 13 years and the deficit is bigger than it was from 1997-2007, and government debt has never been higher.

Maybe point out to us where the Tories have fixed the out of control borrowing pre-2007.

an interviewer needs to put this to Gullis - it would be funny as

Love to the family

It's all just hateful slogans. There's nothing behind it.

"Tofu-eating"

"Twitterati" - What's that? People who use twitter? Like every conservative politician?

"Woke" - The undefinable hate word that's simply taken over the mantle of snowflake, do-gooder, politically correct. There will be a new one in 6 months, and it will also be meaningless. It's just a way to split the world arbitrarily into Us and Them.

"Lefty Lawyer" - What makes a lawyer lefty? Following the law.

Even the term champagne socialist, while much older, is one deliberately created to try and cut off successful people on the left from people who need help. As if Gary Lineker or Kier Starmer or whoever can't relate to, or speak for, the kind of people they grew up with, the kind of families they came from, simply because they managed to be successful. So instead support a bunch of Eton educated wankers preaching hate towards immigrants.

Anyway. The good news. Here's the latest predicted results based on polling for Stoke-on-Trent North - Gullis' constituency.

If he is gonna do video's for Twitter calling his constituents scum bags and junkies I am pretty sure that is not a winning formula

Honestly this is SUCH a waste of time.

First off, it strikes me as just plain WEIRD that so many of you left wing supporters want to waste your time on a thread about the Tories. It's just really odd. I spend precisely zero time on forums about Labour. I couldn't give a shite about Labour.

Do you also hang around Red Cafe and other such sites? I guess maybe you do. Very, very odd.

Here is just an echo chamber for all of you to have a good old moan. Does it make you feel any better? Because it changes absolutely FUCK ALL.

And as to your silly, silly graphs, for goodness sake surely even you must realise that austerity, brexit, covid, Ukraine and rampant global inflation might just possibly have had something to do with the above?

Clearly you have a completely closed mind, so I know none of what I say will make an atom of difference. I am out.

Yes it’s so weird that people talk about the ruling party. How weird, a politics forum with talk about the incumbent government!

Austerity and Brexit do have a part to play - THATS THE WHOLE POINT.

The graphs stop before Ukraine and contain all the data pre-Covid so no, they don’t have anything to do with it.

You spouted a bunch of bollocks about the tories sorting out the deficit and debt and when someone has provided the hard data that shows your fantasy has no basis in reality you’ve whined about how people in this thread are being mean and stomped off home.

It surely can’t be long until Tories replace politicians and journalists with AI’s right? You can’t tell me you could program an AI to say stuff like “wokeratti, lefty, anti-growth coalition, and champagne socialist.
I think they already have and trialling them on GB News.
