The Conservative Party

Are not his employees wealth creators? Creating it for him...
Agreed but he/ she has to work out all the options.
Many a time an entrepreneur can make a very good living without having the hassle of staff.
if you tax too highly they will not take the risk

When ever you make a point it’s always good to bring the nurses in to it even if you only know one twice removed.
I don’t think you’re quite aware of how it works with footballers The footballers get a wage and then form a limited company for their “image rights“ and take most of their income through that which is taxed at a far lower rate.
If we are pulling at the heart strings let’s look the great and the good just search how many companies our great ex leader Vincent Kompany is involved with and you will begin to see the point I am making.

You do, but the problem is those that on the left want others, not themselves of course to pay more for public services. The problem is if you tax the rich until the pips squeak it leaves the age old problem I am not paying over more them I keep.
In the good old days of the 1970’s under a Labour Government the highest rate was 98% and we were well and truly in the shit at the time.
Prior to the seventies the sixties had the one of the highest tax rates Pop stars etc still managed to buy top of the range cars and houses.
There has to be a tax policy that is fair for top earners and bottom workers, we all have to pay.

Says the guy who brought Haaland into it!
Not sure what point you are making. I don't have a problem with people getting rich. My point was some on here think it’s great for the footballers to make plenty of money and employ tax accountants to keep their tax bills down, the price to be paid for having them at the Club, but if the wealthy do it they should be strung up.

100% agree. What I find amusing is that the left want others to pay a lot more percentage wise but if they were asked to pay more, oh no I can’t afford to. Also the Governments of all persuasions are not very good with spending other people’s money.

Is that the USA the land of the free where sleeping rough and crime is far worse than our country and if you can’t afford a doctor your health suffers.
This is not about what other country’s do, I love this country and what we once had is largely lost, having a health service free and fit for the future when a Pandemic hits is a top priority IMO

Yes. It has wealth and can create wealth. The distribution of that wealth is disparate but that wasn’t your point I was responding to.

That’s true government are not very good at prioritising our money. Gordon Brown and the child trust fund has created division in some homes where one child gets a trust fund and one born to late doesn’t. I can think of better ways of spending spare money

After the last 13 years of austerity, incompetence and corruption how thick do you have to be to think it would be worse under Labour?

It's the product of decades of narratives and received wisdom claiming greater conservative economic competence despite there being absolutely zero evidence to support this assertion. Against that backdrop all sorts of cognitive blindspots and biases kick in.
