So, two reports this week. NHS workforce which seems a bit quiet on pay levels being a factor in the crisis, and another on seasonal work in agriculture which makes nonsense of Braverman's insistence that we can train British workers to do not very attractive jobs that only provide work in the summer. Oh, and Brexit hasn't helped in either sector.

And a nice comment in the Lords about defence spending. If this year sees the highest increase in defence spending since the Cold War, it's after big cuts in previous years. "That's like pushing someone into a river then taking credit for temporarily keeping their head above water."
