What I will say is that the many year’s of Tory infighting has tanked this country, to the point where we find ourselves in a bigger mess than we were in, in the 80s. It’s disgraceful where our public services are and it’s quite clear that certain elements of the government want an uneducated, unhealthy, under skilled UK in order to pillage the lower and medium earners to enhance the rich.

The question for me is ‘Why, at this moment in time, and with many issues such as climate change, are all these big corporations, and individuals, monetising themselves?’.

For me, a person who moves between parties dependent on their policies, I find the current crop absolutely abhorrent, and how anybody can support these even worse as they can only be doing it to make a few quid while many suffer.

Tory party, and supporters, dead to me. In fact, the less of you, the better.

‘Refusing a life belt because it is woke’. Gibberish.

And suggesting that people are drowning when you’re labelling others as the most fervent form of Nazi, all because of something as trivial and inoffensive as I’ve posted this evening?

Again, utterly embarrassing.

This argument is in the context of the New Conservative demand for less immigration, and wages to rise to fulfil supply to shortage occupations, so I assume you're agreeing that you can't have that and not cause inflation.

The tories are facing an existential threat whatever happens because millenials and generation X detest them with the same psassion I do. I remember how their policies destroyed communities in the late 70's and early 80's, which I will never forgive them for. I have resolutely detested them ever since, and I have meant it over the years when I have said I could have a gun pointed at my head in the polling station ordering me to vote tory, and I would still refuse to vote for them. They might as well order me to wear a united shirt. It ain't going to happen.

That said, I am a firm believer in democracy. As unappealing as the party is, Reform UK will receive a percentage of the vote at the next election, and if it's 5%, they deserve 5% of the politicians. If the LIb Dems receive 15% of the vote, their voters deserve to have 15% of MP's representing their views in the house of commons, and so on.

For me, it seems the fairest way for everyones opinions to be represented, which is what I believe should happen. I can't think of of a better way of all opinions being considered when no party has an absolute majority,

It prevents extremes, has wider appeal as everyones vote counts, and if it means coallitions have to be formed between parties, then so much the better.

We wouldn't have had the shitsow of failure over the last 13 years if different opinions had been taken into account at cabinet level, which is why I don't understand why Labour are against electoral reforms that would support policies with more moderate principles.

I've long been a supporter of PR but its main drawback is that it doesn't prevent extremes, it gives them a voice and the chance of being in a coalition government. And look at which group the Tories joined in the European Parliament.

The last coalition in the UK had a middle of the road party enabling an ideological-driven party in an attack on the poor while enriching the rich, eventually leading to a quasi-fascist government wanting to remove human rights. Now with PR they might not have had power. Might...

PR would have stopped Brexit.

The problem with the banks is the same as that with the fuel companies and the supermarkets etc - they are all run by "good chaps" who went to the same schools as these govt ministers and attend the same clubs etc. We saw the ground being laid yesterday - supermarkets accused of keeping the price of fuel higher than it should be and Govt to have a word - the response will be over a rather agreeable brandy in their club " look old boy you asked us to stop food prices rising too much and we did by off setting the costs against fuel. We have to maintain profits old chap we have shareholders and I am sure you are aware of our legal obligations to them............. aren't you one of them? "
