The Conservative Party

The Independent Civil Service is tasked by its Independent leader Simon Case to conduct an independent investigation that finds the way Case wants it to because the ACOBA one didn't.

Thing is the conclusion of their own report even says Sue Gray didn't speak to Labour until months after she quit the Civil Service

You can and the UK has had both for a decent chunk over the past fifteen years or so.
Because of immigration?

You can't have it both ways. FoM widened the pool of labour and Brexiters claimed Brexit would raise wages for British workers, yet you want to suppress pay rises to suppress inflation, and now the Nukes want wages in shortage occupations to rise to attract Brits, citing lorry drivers' wages, which has added costs to everything we buy. So is wage inflation now OK until the next Tory (or possible the same Tory) tells nurses and doctors and rail workers that below inflation pay rises are inflationary?

I’m simply stating that it is possible to have low inflation with a tight labour market, if you have productivity growth, low goods price inflation and the demand for workers is met by immigration and/or UK-based workers returning to the workforce or working longer hours.

As for wanting it both ways, as you put it, I haven’t made any such claims. I’m simply explaining how you can have low inflation within a tight Labour market.

Before you post you really should do a bit of research - its not hard this took me @3 minutes - we have not had what you suggested over the last 15 years

Inflation has not been low over your suggested period

The labour market has remained broadly the same for years
