It's seems the BBC story had been sat on since May and finally reported because of an serious allegation made about former Chancellor Osbourne to protect him the day before he was married.
It is quite remarkable how concerned Tory ministers are about getting this investigated quickly.
Pretty sure we've had a few cases of Tories getting up to all sorts, and it taking a huge amount of time for anything to happen. Can't quite remember the same rush.
