I'm always suprised by people who denigrate actors, footballers or media personality wages. The reality is JOB is paid that because he attracts that money/viewship. If he left LBC he would earn that elsewhere. Robert Downey Jnr earns a fortune as an actor because he is a central part of a lucrative movie franchise. Erling earns that money because he constantly scores goals, another club in Europe or the ME would happily pay his wages and more.The difference between boardroom elites and cultural elites like actors,writers, directors ,radio presenters, etc is that one just manages the movement of capital while the other actually produces content(ie. labor). Unfortunately our society seems to monetarily value the former than the latter.
They’re never being used, therefore the debate is moot.It’s not moot because the question of who controls them whether they’re real or imaginary (they’re real by the way) could influence how Russia or any enemy acts. If the US had an input into the tactical control of the weapons and they elect another Trump (or equivalent) our deterrent becomes useless. That’s why we have an independent deterrent.
