The Conservative Party

You didn’t but you decided to stick your oar in to the conversation.…

1. Didn’t realise it was a private conversation, and that commenting on a public forum was “sticking your oar in”.

2. I still didn’t mention Brexit, just refuted your bizarre assertion it was the EU’s fault.

3. I’m not Bluethrunthru.

I know it’s desperate times for you Brexiteers and you’re constantly looking for arguments to justify your position but this is just getting weird now.

Feels like everything that was created after world war 2 to help raise everyone and everything in this country has been dismantled by these Tory bastards.

Were regressing by 100 years. No wonder JRM looks smug he's had a 13 year semi at the prospect of becoming wealthier and increasing serfdom.

What is the 'proper' level of public spending for a (supposedly) rich country with about 60 million people?

I can quote you some figures. We spend more of our GDP on defence than Germany, but less on Education and Health. (Needless to say, Germany's GDP is higher than ours.) We have a lower average standard of living than the Czech Republic.

It ain't pretty is it? Of course, this Tory Government has wasted billions on useless protective equipment for the NHS and giving bungs to the likes of Dido Harding. We don't have to do that going forward, but we still have the debt.
I don't know, my point is that I don't think the amount matters but rather it's what we spend things on that matters. it seems there is very little if any accountability for spending in the public sector. It is indeed even worse with the Tories who view public spending as a means to grow certain parts of the economy (IE their mates).

My experience is exactly that, my mum needs equipment due to a disability and the taxpayer is charged something like 5x more compared to the price of the exact same equipment you can just buy off Amazon. I do not understand why this is just accepted because this type of thing is just completely unheard of in the private sector.

We actually don't spend that much on defence in terms of GDP, we spend far more on health and education. Health and education amounts to something like 20% of total spending and defence is what 3-4%?

I think the below puts the impact of debt into a better context and maybe the dangers of increasing it. As the rate of borrowing continues to increase, debt interest repayments will eventually become the biggest expense for public spending....

This entitled scum ran away as this news broke last week now thinks she should be getting a pat oh the back !!

The answer is not partial privatisation it has brought about the situation we have now, Downing Street is surrounded by private health bodies etc in fancy offices on huge salaries doing the jobs of local authorities extra tiers of spending all taken out of the health, social services and Education budgets too many people at the top that we are all paying for, just
taking me for a ride.

What exactly are we paying MP’s for, are they just tax collectors these days paying themselves large sums of money it’s not good value. Instead of selling off British Steelworks to Tatar and laying off thousands of workers because they won’t invest enough money in the workforce

First blew up the post war consensus and then blew up the country.
