It’s a dreadful policy pretty much the slave trade sending refugees to Rwanda the rules are if they receive asylum in Rwanda they don’t come back to UK they stay in Rwanda people who are deemed illegal are returned to original country.
It won’t be long before we are deporting our own undesirables

Can’t see any government getting away with deporting Johnson, Truss, Braverman and Farage however much most of us would like it.
 
we are going to lose a lot of clever, well trained, qualified people who affect all our lives and who we will miss - in many cases because we value and need their skills - over 200 people being sent to Rwanda. The Tories are eating themselves and the country because they think stroking the ego's of a few RWNJ's is a path to victory

I have to assume that this is an exercise in shoring up their own right-wing fruit-loop vote, and an attempt to stop support leeching away to Reform and their likes.
I can’t see being Charlie Big-Bollox on immigrants attracting many votes from labour or lib-dem sorts.

Utter fucking scum. Hate is a strong word but I hate every last one of these with every fibre of my being. To think of the wonderfuf doctors, engineers, teachers, so many contributors that keep our workforce thriving; so many will now have their lives shat on because of these parasites.

That's all this comes down to. It's their last desperate resort. Pandering to the racist, ignorant far-right section of our electorate. They're starting to make Thatcher look like Nightingale.

and don't forget the arts - so many people affected - venues closing - the ENO moved to Manchester for cost reasons ( welcomed in my view - I suspect the Tories think us up north are jam butties and flat caps and have no culture ) - my son and daughter graduated with degrees in the arts.................. both A's btw .......... there are virtually no opportunities in the arts and so many people have left - they reckon about 25 - 30% of their intake were from abroad and none have remained. They are thriving in their own countries or other countries. Plus recent events mean its unlikely things will get better. According to the DCM the arts contributed £109bn to the UK economy in 2021
