Presumably, now the backlog has gone, all the hotels will now be empty, the barge will be sent back and Rwanda will become a dim and distant memory? And the performative politics will be stopping as well…….

Did you see Cleverly this morning? Insisting Rwanda "remains a deterrent " to those seeking asylum here.

How does he know that? Because they interview migrants THAT COME HERE and thats what they are told. Such a deterrent they are here - he really is a total misnomer as clever is something he never gets near

Yep. And they keep saying how dangerous the crossing is and yet are seemingly astonished that it’s almost exclusively young men making the crossings!
