With Bone getting 62% of the vote at the last election, and a majority of over 21,000 it’ll be a miracle if she’s doesn’t win.

Will be close if it is a straight Tory/Labour fight, but Tamworth was 66% and a near 20,000 majority.
Mid-beds was 60% and a 24,000+ majority.
Selby was 60% and 20,000.

All are in the top ten Labour by-election swings of all time, and they're also the last three Labour/Tory by-elections.

I know a few locally will feel he's been hard done to, and vote for her, but you'd hope a lot of wavering Tories will be offended by the idea.

The numbers in my constituency (Stratford upon Avon) are similar, and I think there’s an outside chance of a Lib Dem victory here, but, as you’ve suggested, I think Bone will retain more residual sympathy than my **** of an MP, Zahawi. I think he is more popular amongst Tory voters in his constituency than Zahawi is in his.

Plus, I think Wellingborough as a constituency is even more crypto-fascist than South Warwickshire!

yet the govt swaggers about like we are a real hard case .......... oh and they have big support in retired vets who are buying their schtick. Have said on here recently across the road from me is a recently commissioned RN weapons officer who after about 9 - 10 months still awaits being assigned to a ship. We paid for his training and we pay his wages ......... and others are in training as the govt scraps ships....... and 2 doors down there is a submariner who is at home almost full time now - he has a nice car because we pay for it.
