The Tories forgot about the 'social contract' that in return for being allowed to govern they should allow the population to live in peace and with some degree of prosperity.

They have been so focussed on grabbing/stealing all the money, and 'delivering' ridiculous notions of sovereignty and making sure that Corporate profits boom that they have not given a single thought to how the average member of the public is supposed to survive financially.

They will pay the price for that at the next election, not for being the corrupt, slimy, lying, grasping, devious, uncaring , sexpest, pervert, gaslighting fuckers that they are (to name just a few their more likeable qualities!).
