it will cost £2,000 to be taken to hospital in an ambulance, £10,000 to have a baby. £100 to hold your baby just after it's been born, and prescription charges will go through the roof, paying hundreds for drugs that cost a fraction of that at the moment.

That's what it will cost at todays prices if we adopt the full US system of healthcare, but will we accept that as a nation?

I don't think we would, but that's just my view on it. Others may think it's OK.

I don't know where we are heading as a country at the moment. I heard someone last week say they didn't agree with Marcus Rashford and tax payers money being spent feeding hungry kids. If the parents can't afford to feed them, they shouldn't have had them in the first place.

There are a multitude of reasons why the tories were so adamant we should have brexit, and one of the EU rules they detested was healthcare provision being free at the point of use.

They haven't wasted any time introducing the legislation removing that obligation.

I think the most shocking statistic here, and I know it's not a new one, is that 70% of people who cross the channel are granted asylum.

We seem to just have accepted that genuine asylum seekers that even this government can't turn away, should risk their lives crossing the channel before they get assessed.

That's 17 of the 24 who died last week.

We just spend a lot of effort trying not to grant asylum. That's why the system is broken. If it was designed (Pritti Patel's word) to accept genuine refugees rather than trying to reject "not genuine" refugees, it would have much more capacity to check who was not genuine.

An astonishing thing for Dorries to say, even on the Dorries scale.
To state that she doesn't believe another MP is plain bizarre.
 
Ben Bradley MP on Politics Live showing yet again how thick he is - so far he has said "anti-racism is a partisan phrase" and "science is not exact science" - any constituent watching this needs to ensure he is a one term wonder
