The Conservative Party

This should come as no surprise to anyone after the Tories threw NI under the bus to ’get Brexit done’.

Brendan can't have any future in politics now.

The nasty party, still defended by some on here although it's very difficult getting people to admit they voted for this joke govt.
I voted LibDem but I am glad they won over the alternative.

The reason you don’t get many on here is because it’s an echo chamber and the forum is very left wing.

Yawn...it's very left wing now, it isn't in reality, can you guess why that is???

No it really is, in December the poll on here was huge in favour in Labour. Labour had their worst defeat since before WW2 in the election, so it clearly doesn’t represent the country.

You’re one of those who thinks everyone should agree with you and you’re morally superior.

No, I'm one of those that thinks the Tory voters on here that were so very noisy, swps back, bill, Worsley..the usual suspects are now embarrassed to even attempt to defend this shitshow. They told us that Tory was the way, don't let Corbyn in, he's in the IRA you know...
People like you just like to stir the shit and offer no particular view at all, it's like debating with a child.
Voted liberal...yep about right!

Worsley is constantly defending them, he just doesn’t bother in this thread because it’s an echo chamber. Go on the Covid thread and see it for yourself. SWP is more interested in US politics and rarely posts in UK stuff, he no longer lives here... and Bill doesn’t post as much these days but the 2nd to last post that I saw from him criticised how biased the forum was towards Labour.

I stir the shit when you posted this on literally the last page?

Not much self awareness going on. You’re a bit like Scousers you lot.

I debate all the time, it’s hard to with you as you post drivel like the above.

I can’t stand liberals but Swinson was the only candidate with an ounce of morals in December, just as Starmer is now.

For the record, Corbyn is a has been, your obsession with bringing the old antisemite up at every possible time you can is only going to make you more bitter. He wasn’t in the IRA, he sympathised with them and met them several times as an ally.

I can see why people voted for LibDems in the last GE. They had a clear Brexit stance and didn’t have either Corbyn or Johnson! They gained ~3.2m votes on the GE two years previously.

Voting for them is nothing to be belittled about at all.

The Conservatives actually gained fewer extra votes (304,402) than the Green Party did (339,078).

Labour, however, lost ~2.6m votes.

It wasn’t the Tories who were saying “don’t let Corbyn in”, it was everyone from across the board, including Labour voters.

It's you always bringing up Corbyn or the alternative as you put it, let it go, it's gone.
This forum was very right wing pre election, it isn't now because they know it's a shitshow and they enabled it, if I'd voted for Boris trump I'd be hiding as well, still, job done as far as they are concerned.

You twist posts to suit and it's not gone unnoticed. Try and read what people put and then try and form a reply with some semblance of sense instead of the usual...Corbyn IRA, blah blah blah, we get it, you don't have to rattle on every chance you get, you are very boring..

The Lib Dems offered a genuine remain position, so I voted for them.

Labour didn't, and continued with their university left politics that alienated millions of voters.

Hahaha it’s like you live in an alternate universe!

You were ranting about Corbyn at 2am the other day, you mentioned the man again first just now. Let. It. Go. His. Politics. Got. Rejected!

The forum had a poll, that said who are you going to vote for in November/December 2019. If that poll was represented accurately across society Labour would have won their biggest majority ever.

The forum is very left wing, even other lefties on here admit it and say because it’s a Manchester forum, which is traditionally a Labour supporting area.

Is there anything else you can possibly be wrong about now lol?

Had a poll you say, did everyone on the forum take part?
I'll spell it out real easy...the clowns that were telling us all to vote Tory because it was the better option, that Boris would be ok with the economy..I'd like them.to be responsible for their choice, I'd like them to tell us all that they were right and this is the best version of the UK and why..they don't and they probably can't.
Ranting at 2am! Suggest you read it again and then come back to explain what the word rant means. If you think that's a rant then you are more of a dick than I think, your a trouble causer son, now kindly note someone else

Do you know how polls work? They don’t ask every single person, they usually get a sample.

Here, I found it for you. 60% of the forum voted for a party to the left of the Tories. Who themselves are only ideologically right of centre. The forum being right wing is laughable. For context, New Labour’s big win in 1997 got them 43.2% of the vote share, their biggest in history is 48%. So Bluemoon is more pro Labour than Labour’s biggest win in recent history and higher than any of Blair’s big majority wins... and not far off their biggest ever win.

Your box is asking for you back..

I think this forum (this part of the forum) has much more of a left wing feel to it than right. Not particularly far left wing, but there’s certainly a lot of that doom-and-gloom/“tell everyone their lives are shit” fringe that is a big feature of modern left-wing ideology.

I think a bit of it is also just criticism of whoever’s in charge will always outweigh others, given they’re the ones running the country.

That and this particular government do things in ways that are unpalatable to a fair amount of the traditional conservative base too. The issue for centrists is that neither of the two main parties have been a viable option due to their leadership recently.
