On this forum, I don’t find it particularly left wing, more just left of this particular government, which then includes any left wingers, centrists and moderate conservatives.
Ultimately it is a politics forum so it’s going to attract people that have both an interest and knowledge of the topic. They will know this is far from even a normal conservative government.
The problem is due to how binary people want to make everything, any criticism or any support is seen immediately as a right or left wing position.

I haven’t seen much of it outside of a few, the majority I see seem more centrist to me.

Anyway, all political ideologies around today are from the 18th century, including liberalism and socialism.
Burke is the father of modern conservatism and his writings are modern, by political standards.

I don’t know many genuine conservatives that would want to actively debate the merits of this particular government though, which is why I said it would be different to wider society.
I’m more than happy to. I also really like Starmer so it’s out a question mark over them for me.
The more I hear from everything else in politics though, the more off putting it is and the more likely I am to go Tory in 2024, which would be the first time in 7 years, believe it or not.

The rates were considerably lower when a considerable amount of people lived in worse poverty than anybody does today.
It’s a culture and legal change that has caused it.
