From the people who think an EU army is a bad idea. Rather cheeky saying it's about peace and using the CND symbol.... (infringement of copyright there maybe... certainly infringement of honesty).

True, there are some major hurdles to overcome, but some fairly hefty right wing players both here and in Australia, what with their yellow peril hysteria, are all for it.

New Zealand and Canada not so much, but even they have their cheerleaders

It is of course utterly bonkers, but xenophobia is all the rage in white, right wing, English speaking circles and it's considerably less daft than Brexit.

You should never underestimate the nostalgia, in certain circles, of the English speaking world resuming its rightful place.

A union of Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand.

You think that wouldn't appeal to a sizeable chunk of their population? I'd speculate it would win a referendum in all three, with the possible exception of Canada.

If we ended up with Jacinda Ardern or Justin Trudeau as PM of the lot it would certainly be a step up from the clowns we’ve got in charge at the moment. Of course, that wouldn’t be part of the plan though and we’d end up with a crackpot like Johnson.
The whole idea is too daft to have a sensible discussion about anyway.

They used to say that about Brexit.

Don't forget, Johnson is a big picture sorta guy, and his hero Churchill wrote A History of the English-Speaking Peoples.

This project is very close to Johnson's heart, he would love to pull off a Churchill moment by making this happen, or more likely waste billions not making it happen, either way the man of destiny will give it his ham-fisted best.
