Appears to be genuine. A lack of empathy one can accept, a lack of sympathy, less so. I suppose some people simply derive pleasure from being contrary. Pitiable.

Think she could only do that if he first lost a vote of no confidence and refused to budge. Sounds unlikely but then again I never thought I’d see Parliament prorogued.

You’ve missed my point it’s not bizarre but maybe to you, your point is what ?? mine was an example of what I thought at the time there are many valid reasons why a majority voted the way they did.
Perhaps you knew what lies they told beforehand but most people did not
The. people voted to leave and I’m old enough to remember why we voted to join the common market in the first place. It was for free trade with Europe that seemed a good thing at the time

It still does...

Nobody can know why people voted or what they knew or did not. However, everyone was led to believe that they would have a better quality of life, though, subsequently, that has now been postponed and it will apparently be two generations before that happens.

As much as I admit it doesnt currently happen, I’d argue it’s on every one that votes to educate themselves too. The behaviour of the current government could easily be foreseen, you just look at its members, and in particular leaders, past behaviour (or even during power before the last election).

It will be challenged in the courts so I doubt it will come to anything it is as you say a dead cat because the news tonite is Johnson facing at least 3 more fines. In any event I am looking forward to them explaining how this will deter people.
