The Conservative Party

my brother is there too. think he was skeptical at first but doubt he's coming back now. things (public services) just work there better, according to him. also, gap between poor and rich is generally much narrower than over here, so he reckons more people have a sense that they're doing alright and creates a more positive society.

Bear in mind he is a lad from Hollin Estate in Middleton- his Dad was from Salford - he knows a tough possibly dangerous area and he says there are tough bits in Sweden its nothing to what he sees here now. It helps he is now fairly fluent in the language and they all speak English.

The kind of people they are - he is at his mums on Hollin at the moment - works in IT/Coding - he was due to fly back yesterday and his employers said no its fine come back Tuesday - we know Monday is your Queens funeral so even if you were back we wouldn't have expected you in work.

English employers under JRM will probably be able to dock your pay in future if you stay off to watch any Royal event

He’s not really though, is he? He’s not charismatic, but he’s a statesman and wouldn’t take the piss out of the office, should he win.

That in itself makes him infinitely better than latest two PMs.
Easily, totally agree, but big and daft Boris has given enough ammunition to rip him to shreds, sadly he's sat there like one of Kaz's pussies. Even his deputy is frustrated with his kid glove approach.

It will be interesting to see what he does now. Any policy worth half its salt has been stolen by Johnson. If Truss does the same, then he’ll still have to keep schtum until the election begins and just highlight how shit the government are.

If Sweden is so content why are they close to having a extreme right wing party which emerged from the neo-Nazi movement ?

yeah like France got so close - what happens is people don't engage with the process then finally understand what could be coming and vanquish the r/w nutters

They don't have a minimum wage (the stick person cartoon is a bit exaggerated) but do have collective bargaining which generally gives workers a good deal and they are amongst the best paid in the EU. Sadly, it will never happen here.
Do they have a system that when a person works full time, said person is still below actual living standard so we, the taxpayers, then contribute to get them to a minimum standard?

In other words, does the government allow stealth public funding of the majority of private businesses?

My nephew lives and works in Sweden - he says taxes are high but you get what you pay for ( he should know he has 2 kids there from 2 mothers - always was a handsome smooth talking bastard ) but more importantly he says the picture being painted about Sweden and social issues there are not what most Swedes would recognise - on the whole they are happy with their lot too
Is there anything in the rise of the far right in Sweden?
Saw an article on the news the other night.
