The Conservative Party

Just a few short years ago the Germans were smugly laughing at the previous US President as he warned of the dangers of energy dependence on Russia, now they are advising their citizens to wash their balls and armpits and prepare for a long hard Winter. A week is a long time in politics, two years is an eternity, so I wouldn't be counting your chickens just yet....
Can I assume that you are an ardent Tory backer and Brexiteer?

If so, don’t get angry, just get even with them. They‘ve probably fucked you over as well as the rest, they don’t care.

IIRC the last time the working classes were in unison and turned against the tories was just after the care homes fiasco and the handling of the first lockdown.

The media was suddenly outraged about BLM and statues being graffitied. Then everyone starting arguing amongst themselves as to the rights and wrongs of such actions and low and behold, the tories had deflected the spotlight from their shortcomings and they faded from public scrutiny.

Wonder what ‘lefty woke’ agenda will be raised this time to get us all arguing amongst ourselves, in order to take the heat off them for this latest debacle?
Social media and controlling it for "national security"

Scully kicked that off on QT last night.

It may need a reminder from yourself to keep people on the right side of the road.

So, the UK officially not in recession as GDP rose by 0.2% in the 3 months to June according to the ONS, also the pound has recovered some ground and is now at $1.12 (it was at $1.13 immediately before the mini budget). Good news eh? Meanwhile in Germany inflation has hit 10% and the latest predictions are for a serious recession in 2023. In Holland inflation is at 17%. Bloody Tories.

ahem

so the EU as a collective have agreed a windfall tax on energy companies profits caused by the price of nuclear and renewable energy being pegged to the price of gas.
Why would you not do this.

in the U.K. Liz Truss is perfectly happy that consumers cannot take advantage of low nuclear or renewable prices. We will continue to be charged for expensive gas generated electricity irrespective of how it is generated.

Simply fucking criminal.
