The Conservative Party

fuckin' lefties

Thing is, I cannot see the U.K. being stable in the near future. Everyone knows that this Government is on life support and that will be withdrawn by the public, either in 2024 or 2025, yet unless Labour gets an overwhelming mandate, it could find itself sharing in a loose coalition, with the future of the relationship with the EU still up in the air. On top of that, next year will soon mark a decade since the Scottish referendum, and nobody would claim that that issue is settled.

After a decade of almost constant political uncertainty and destabilisation, I’m starting to wonder if this is the new normal. If it is, then it will not help attract foreign investment, nor will it give the stability companies such as Lloyds crave.

West Lancs MP by-election today. Sunak's first voter test of 2023.

Gen Election 2019: 52% Lab, 36% Con
Gen Election 2017: 59% Lab, 37% Con
Gen Election 2015: 49% Lab, 32% Con

of interest: Howling Lord Hope, leader of the Monster Raving Loony Party, has entered as one of 6 candidates.

The appointment of Anderson is either a master stroke, his every utterance distracting attention from all else, or a complete miscalculation. Nothing like having a loose canon on deck when sailing in turbulent waters.
Indeed.
He's already making headlines just this morning.
Comes across as a far less refined thuggish Raab.
