Its now quite clear why Sunak went for an early GE that they would lose. He was well aware that their talking the talk ref infected blood scandal and the post office claims and so on without setting any money aside for the compo was going to hit them then they would also have been aware of the shortfalls coming down the line after they had underfunded everything plus the rising issues from Ukraine etc it was best if they just cut and ran - cowardly but at that point he was clear it was best to leave Labour a mess to uncover and leg it leaving it to colleagues to try and save their arses - the mark of the man for me was summed up when he tweeted how good it was to see Craig Mackinlay back in the commons after losing limbs to sepsis and nearly dying and later that same day calling the GE abandoning the poor **** to his fate - the rain and the ruined suit summed up the Sunak year perfectly
 
Got a leaflet from the Conservatives regarding our local council elections. In it they say since being voted in 4 years ago they have achieved more than Labour did in the previous 100 years. Bit strange considering 1 of the candidates previously represented Labour for 24 years.

Hopefully today we will see the Renationalisation steel production at Scunthorpe , with , if any luck the plants owned by TATA to follow.

This will be the fourth time this industry has been bailed out by Labour and the Taxpayer.

Those that voted Conservative in their lifetimes need to ask themselves '' what sort of thought process allowed the sale of a strategic industry to the Chinese / Indians ''
