The Conservative Party

She is unbelievably wank.

predictably the truth is coming out in the press already - there is the point where she says they had a deal but you don't reveal the details because we went for an election instead and Alex Burghart who had been braying in support behind here visibly blushes when she lies - why is that not perjury?

14 fucking years of fuck ups - and it was themselves who called the GE - and its all the fault of the new Govt for not fixing all their fuck ups in just 8 months - if they want to win back support and influence they need to own up, to apologise and ask for forgiveness so they can move on - its a clown show with Krusty in charge at the moment and all they are doing is ensuring oblivion

The Gambling Commission has today charged 15 people with betting offences related to last year's general election.

They include Craig Williams, who was previously the Conservative MP for Montgomeryshire and Rishi Sunak's aide, and ex-police officer Jeremy Hunt.

Also charged were Russell George, the Welsh Conservative Senedd member for Montgomeryshire, and Anthony Lee, the former director of Conservative Party campaigning.

Laura Saunders, Lee's wife and a former Tory candidate for Bristol Northwest, was also on the list of 15 names, with former chief data officer for the Conservative Party Nick Mason.

An investigation had considered whether people placed bets on a 4 July election as a result of inside knowledge in the days leading up to the then prime minister Rishi Sunak's shock announcement of an early poll on 22 May.

Williams, formerly Sunak's parliamentary private secretary, is one of 15 people charged with an offence of cheating under Section 42 of the Gambling Act 2005, the Gambling Commission said.

They are due to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court at 10am on Friday 13 June 2025.

The full list of those charged by the Gambling Commission are:

  • Simon Chatfield, 51, of Lower Bourne, Farnham
  • Russell George, 50, of Newtown, Wales
  • Amy Hind, 34, of Loughton, Essex
  • Anthony Hind, 36, of Loughton, Essex
  • Jeremy Hunt, 55, of Horne, Horley
  • Thomas James, 38, of Brecon, Wales
  • Charlotte Lang, 36, of Brixton, London
  • Anthony Lee, 47, of Bristol
  • Iain Makepeace, 47, of Newcastle Upon Tyne
  • Nick Mason, 51, of Milton on Stour, Gillingham
  • Paul Place, 53, of Hammersmith, London
  • Laura Saunders, 37, of Bristol
  • James Ward, 40, of London
  • Craig Williams, 39, of Llanfair Caereinion, Welshpool
  • Jacob Willmer, 39, of Richmond, London

Interesting that they chose to only publish the stats on crime serious enough to result in a deportation order.

No skin in the game but it clearly doesn't include all crime or even all migrants then?

A lot of this information is already available

Any immigrant or person granted asylum (provided no Human Rights or Asylum protections are breached ) can be deported if convicted of an offence which warrants 12 months or more imprisonment.

Section 1: Grounds for deportation

  1. 13.1.1. A foreign national, who is not an Irish citizen, is liable for deportation where:
    1. (a) they have been convicted of a criminal offence for which they have received a custodial sentence of at least 12 months; or
    2. (b) the Secretary of State otherwise considers that the deportation of the foreign national is conducive to the public good; or
    3. (c) they are the spouse, civil partner or child aged under 18 of a foreign national who is, or has been ordered to be, deported.
13.1.2. An Irish citizen may only be deported where a court has recommended deportation or where the Secretary of State concludes that, due to the exceptional circumstances of the case, the public interest requires deportation.

13.1.3. A deportation order will not be made if the foreign national’s removal from the UK pursuant to the order would be contrary to the UK’s obligations under the Refugee Convention or the Human Rights Convention, and, where deportation would not be contrary to these obligations, the presumption is in favour of deportation.

You can thank Labour for that ...

So they won't be publishing any figures for any crime committed which didn't result in an equivalent 12 months+ prison sentence? That leaves out virtually all low/mid level crime then.

I'm not bothered but statistically speaking this seems completely pointless if its selective, why not publish everything?

Not sure that they collate all those figures .... in any event would they be accurate ? People waiting to go to court , people appealing sentencing , sharing information across various police forces etc etc.

And include crimes committed by UK nationals

Badenoch is moving The Tories towards Reform policies anyway and its just losing voters to them. If Jenrick wants and electoral pact what happens? Given the Party leanings its likely even more people will think "if this is the case i may as well vote Reform anyway". They have zero political nowse.

I can't be bothered looking. What exactly does want to change?

proposing the scrapping of NCHI's - something that came out of the MacPherson Report - on the anniversary of the murder and claiming that was unintentional - and gulping a lot

He was asked if he knew the relevance of the date and Aftr a pause, just said ‘Yes’. Ferrari then said ‘So this was intentional, on the date that Stephen Lawrence’s murder?’, or words to that effect.

Ferrari is usually easy on Tories but on this occasion he was clearly angry with what the idiot was pushing.
