The cool cats

I used to have the Guvnors book by Mickey Francis and I am pretty sure that one of the chapters was named The Cool Cats. Needs checking though by someone who has the book,as I binned my copy when we moved house 5 years ago.
One of the earliest stories that MF relates is a mob of Spurs being in the Kippax early doors sometime in 1975,and I definitely remember steaming into them to get the Cockney twats out of The Kippax before the game started. So Spurs did take a mostly empty Kippax for about 10/15 minutes.

I wish we had this amount of passion about us these days. Not going looking for it but just fighting for the name of our club. We could learn a lot from some of these guys
Mickey and Donald Francis were leaders of organized firms who went looking for fights with other organized firms of hooligans.
I used to go to City away games with a few other lads who didn't really go looking for trouble, but it usually found you and it was always handy to be able to look after yourself.
And have a few handy City mates with you (like Sid C on here).

Mean streets these mate, as you well know. We’ve only got two delicatessens in Heaton Moor these days.

I watched doctor who on my twelfth birthday at the savoy cinema 32 years ago. Is it still going?

Yes, it’s still going. Changed a bit now though. All luxury sofas and all that. You can take booze in now though, which is obviously a plus. I get a few disapproving looks at the Saturday matinees, mind you.
