The Cup final, will you go? If you are allowed?

No chance of me getting the vaccine before the game date but I would go if I could get a ticket - I have had covid and it was unpleasant but I got over it fairly quickly. I would not go if in a high risk group or shared my home with anyone similar.

Opening the world up solely to people who have had the vaccine probably isn't going to work given it looks like the younger working population are the ones who won't even be getting it this year. I can imagine longer term that countries might make vaccination a condition of entering their borders (especially if they've managed to get their own levels down very low), but I can't imagine how they could enforce an immunity passport type situation within a country for different activities, it would just be too much an infringement on people's freedoms and it would mean only people over 60 can do anything.

'There is always a limited number of tickets and it shouldn't be by a ballot.

is COVID being used as the excuse to strip mine loyalty points once and for all?

Should it not just be based on Loyalty/Ticket Points, not a ballot?

If it’s 10,000 tickets, it’d be like an away allocation for a Cup game at United away. Should be just on the same basis that would be. And the same basis as all our games.

Who knows how it would be done, said ballot because I think we had aroun 13000 cup schemers

Given my age I expect to be vaccinated by mid Feb, but no way would I expect my 2nd dose before 25th April, so it's a No from me. Indeed, individual immunity for the older age groups isn't the issue as nowhere near enough of the overall community will be vaccinated in order to permit a general opening up of venues this season IMHO. The government needs to tread more carefully this time as this vaccine is the last chance saloon.
Surely the powers that be will have noticed the number of fans on telly at Anfield, Goodison, Southampton etc wearing masks on their chins ? Just because the virus doesn't transmit as easily outdoors doesn't mean it won't transmit at all. Plus of course this new variant transmits miles faster than the original.

I don't have any underlying health issues but I'll be staying well away from crowds of any size until the day it's safe for everyone.
Pity, as this will be the first City Cup Final I will have missed since 1969.
