The David Moyes Thread [Merged]

Re: First question for wee Davey

Are you glad that although you're still an ugly ****, you're better looking in middle age than when you were 20?

Re: First question for wee Davey

Genuinely, 'Do you feel as though Slur Alex handed you a poisoned chalice with an ageing squad that he failed to strengthen when needed years ago, so that he could maintain his 'superiority' even after he had retired. And......how pissed off are you that so called professional footballers didn't give you their all, undermined you at all turns and effectively got you sacked'.

Face it the poor bugger has been hung out to dry. Yes, he'll get a hefty pay-off but he has been royally shat on from a great height by the Govan Piss-Can.

Re: Where does Moyes go from here?

It's a bit difficult to say where he'll go - a lot will depend on several other issues as to who will be available, which clubs will be seeking a manager, and whether those clubs will want him. I think the Barcodes are in with a shout as they like to do things on the cheap whilst keep the car in the parked gear. Perhaps Villa too, depending on the potential takeover.

As for United, I think they'll go for Redknapp. I think all the names being touted will see straight through the game here. United need a complete overhaul of the squad. This requires a unique sort of manager who is able to keep the team punching above it's own weight whilst rebuilding - Moyes was always never going to be that. But there are few managers of this type about, and those that are (i.e., Rodgers, Martinez, Klopp) are clearly not available by any measure.

Conversely, the managers being touted (van Gaal, Simeone, etc.) are 'tweakers' and tacticians (except Giggs - but that's a no brainer), which is really not what United need. Hence, I think they'll go for the Redknapp option - I hate the prick, but United's players are pricks too, so they'll get on like a house on fire, listen to him, easier on the media because of the love affair - so that he can steady the ship, and then upgrade later.

I mention this because I don't think United will make a sensible choice - they haven't got a good recent record - so I'm actually feeling quite positive about how this will all pan out in spite of the failed #SOD !

Moyes problem is that initially every team in a Premiership that is struggling will want him, Newcastle, Villa or any of the teams that avoid relegation. Unfortunately, once he's established them in the Premiership, they all think they should be challenging for the top 6, and that's when he stops bring the saviour and becomes the bloke that's holding them back.
Very true.

Kind of like Neil Warnock and Ian Holloway, good enough to get you out of the Championship but not good enough to keep you in the Premier League.

I agree actually, I thought it earlier. Its visibly aged him and I bet if truths told he wakes up tomorrow morning and sighs a big sigh of relief. His pay off will be massive, he's made a total **** of himself in a job he couldnt do, so go and chill out and move to Australia or somewhere and get on a beach. The bug eyed bastard.

Piss off, we've got standards over here.
