The Death of Mary Ds....

i dont know about mary ds, but iv been going to the eastlands for a season or so now, and its normally good in there

Tend to flit between a few including The Townley, Corner Shop, Eastlands, and Mary D's.

Eastlands Bar isn't bad but I'm not so sure it deserves the glowing references that some are giving it. For a start, when it gets busy it's a nightmare getting served. Then you have the DJ playing the same music every time - those cheesy City songs with the canned crowd chants in the background. To say it's annoying is an understatement. In fact, it's downright shit. Micky should have a word with him about varying his tunes.

Having said that, Mary D's isn't too sparkling either. The beer is watered down and £3.20 a pint is a total con. Having said that, at least the original DJ is back in there now and playing some decent music - not that I agree with some of the anti-United stuff he plays though.

How about we all chip in like we did for the "Manchester thanks you..." banner and bringing that fan over from Aussie and just buy the pub? Then we could run it just the way we want?

Fuck me sideways. Is it really £3.20 for a Pint in Mary D's? You'd think Wetherspoons would get themselves in to gear and build a Pub near the ground.

It would surely cost alot as the owner wouldn't want to give it away cheaply considering the money it makes!
