The death of my father

my dad has been dead a couple of years now, last night i was stuck with something and i thought "i know, i'll ring my dad" of course this only lasts for a split second but for that split second he was still here in my head.
i was grateful for that split second to have him back.

if there are any of you out there estranged from either parent ring them now and make up, i promise you'll miss them greatly when they have gone.

r.i.p. your dad.

I am actually gutted. I dunno what it was i think it was the champions league bit. Its my dream to see city win the champions league. RIP fellow blue!

Absolutely right mate. Life is too short. I have two sisters who haven't bothered with my Dad for years (not just their fault, my Dad's too). Since last week they are very much regretting it. Even if the contact had been awkward or even heated, it would have been better than nothing. I know it's a cliche, but it is too late to say what you want to say when someone has gone.

Sorry to hear of your sad loss.

My own father passed away last week at the grand old age of 89 and after mainly heartache following City over the years we were both hoping he would hang around a little bit longer to see us win something again.

RIP Blues.

Sincere condolences to all of you who have lost a loved one.

My cousin died at the tender age of just 21 a couple of years ago.

May they all R.I.P.

never a better word said. My dad is 73 and I often find myself thinking about the worst. You post is a great reminder to enjoy the people we have now. Thanks De niro.

avoidconfusion , very sorry to hear of your dads passing. may he rest in piece. I read a poem a long time ago and it has always stuck with me. I hope it helps.

If I go while you are here know that I live on,
vibrating the the same mettle,
behind a thin veil you cannot see through.
You will not see me but you must have faith,
I wait for the day when we can soar together again,
equally aware of each other.
Until then live you life to its fullest, and when you need me just whisper my name in your heart,
I will be there.
