For the past few years I've been wondering how the fuck we could get a blue City shirt on that Denis Law statue on the morning of the Derby. I thought of sky blue paint at first but then that's like defacing it and a shirt would be more acceptable. I've even walked around it at night on the way home from work scouting it out but the place is littered with security. It's gotta be done.

You'll have to take one for the team, just get it done as quickly as possible.

It's been discussed how to do it with a few older blues I know (no names no pack drill) and like I said I've walked around the ground late at night on a few reccies but the security would have it down before the dawn broke. Maybe we'll go back to the drawing board even just to get a picture of it to post.

Re: protecting players.

I wouldn't play a second string as such, but would certainly consider resting Aguero and Silva.

Re: protecting players.

Fuck that - they will be hurting from the 6-1 still.

Strongest team and do the fuckers again. 1-0 will do this time though.

Re: protecting players.

What a crock of shit, we would get humiliated. Play the best team we have, and lay down a marker for next season.

Re: protecting players.

Make no mistake, they will want to and will try to win 6-0. But for us the game means very little. The FA Cup is now more important than the league as we'll more than likely finish second.

The thing is too, to be in good forms and good match flow you need to play games. Being "rested" can stop that flow. Kompany Yaya and Kun have all been out injured and need game time. They need to play next Monday.

Put our best team out and smash them again. It will be a marker for next season and everyone will know we are the better team on our day.

Re: protecting players.

Not so sure about second string, but having some of our harder players on the pitch is always wise at the swamp. Since shauny's not around these days they do rotate their kicking of silva between their entire 11.

Zaba, Kompany, Milner, Barry, yaya, tevez all start for me. I wouldnt be opposed to the same lineup as newcastle, with milner in for nasri... as we all know he doesnt exactly have the strongest of resolves. Kolarov to come on when we are 2 up to have a good kick at young or nani.

Good points, but you know what Derbies can be like. Apart from injuries, we can be sure that all kinds of nonsense will be happening out there, and we have to ensure that no-one of value is suspended for the semi.
