right, we go there with our 2 best players out and they can't beat us...only had 1 chance in the match....it has to be a bloody good point away from home so forget all the "Bony was shite" stuff, sometimes you just have to grind out a result and we did that today
 
Solid performance and a good point away from home against a title rival. They were never going to let us play our football and so it proved a dour affair cancelling each other out.
You could see the frustration in the players and I've never seen us play so many long balls, so credit to the home team for spoiling the game not pretty for sure but an important result.
 
The most disciplined performance i've seen from us for a very long time. That was the rags' best shot at beating us and they couldn't. Happy with that.

Decent result but could have done so much more. Disappointed with pellegrini for playing KDB on the right and then not switching him and Sterling after it was clear he was struggling. Bony woeful, give Kelechi a chance there really is nothing to lose in doing so. Otamendi and kompany were great at the back, has the makings of a great partnership.
 
Result OK I suppose, but even with Dave & Kun out we should have posed more of a threat than we did, particularly in the second half when we were really poor.

Yaya needs to play CM and, as someone in the match thread stated, we need to accept his defensive limitations. Either that or don't play him at all.

KDB should be in the middle. Bony should be playing for someone else.
 
Flacid, turgid, zilch going forward but solid at the back, Komps and Otamendi were great and Hart showed up when needed, Dinho love him as per usual. Draw is a good result in the basis of the game but Silva and Aguero can't come back quicker. Oh and 8 minutes for Iheanacho was disappointing to say the least, regardless of his age, the lad must be raising the peoples eyebrow at Bony getting more time than himself.

Good result for us , even though should have taken yaya off and put Kevin in centre , bony was poor

Good to get a clean sheet again
 
Great point considering how poor some of our players were

at least we stopped them going above us and it means we will take four points off them this season

have to say Yaya played like an old man today his career is coming to an end very quickly with days like today
 
I suppose a draw is not the end of the world. The main positive is the defense. We looked solid and suffocated them for most of the game. The curious thing however is the way we went away mentally in the second half. Apart from Navas who is always honest and hardworking, the rest of the attacking players were very poor. Pellegrini was also too conservative with his substitutions. I think Kelechi would have benefited with more game time.

Nonetheless this point is a good point. Next game in the PL is at home and we should look to kick on from there.
