The derby where we show the world the tide has turned

That's an interesting one. Mancini has abandoned his negative tactics for the last 5 or 6 games.

What will he do against that lot?

We will go for the jugular, of that I have no doubt whatsoever.

We have to get at them from the first whistle,we cannot let united dictate the game, our strength is going forward and if we do we will win the game,if not it could be a long afternoon.

Is there anyway we can play "always look on the bright side of life" if we beat them on saturday after the game.

Payback time for January.

I do like that word, 'jugular'. It gives me visions of the Pitbull literally going for the jugular of Neville, for example, and him sinking to his knees, hands on is throat and blood splurting everywhere then the camera pans to De Jong, and he's wiping parts of Neville from his mouth. Lovely jubbly.

Bollox anything but that....Just play Bluemoon again and again

I think we have as good a chance, if not better to get a result on Saturday against them. I would love if we get a similar score to the Burnley and Birmingham matches but would be over the moon if we just get a win and they don't even get a goal against us. There is always that horrible thought at the back of my head of "what if..." although it is a very brief thought.

The rags themselves will be advertising themselves that the tide has turned, I see their new shirt sponsors are AON or (All Over Now)

I hate manufactured singing.

Just play replays of the goals from the game repeatedly. Volume high.

And I'm going to remember how it felt sitting in Old Trafford in January, gutted, with those cheesy songs playing and all those fucking kids and goons and glory hunters bouncing around, pretending to be excited.

This will live with me til the day i die. Whenever we get one up on them in the future i will always look back to that 20 minutes.

Horrible, horrible experience.

This x 1,000,000 really want to stuff them well and truely!

I came into work today and my boss, who is a completely level headed good guy stated that there should be a salary cap and the amount of foreigners in a team should be restricted again.
The salary cap is a common argument from rags in my part of the world. It's amazing they're so self-absorbed they see no problem with what their spending and wage bill helped them achieve, but as soon as it looks like they can't keep up they want to change the rules.

A lad to my left was crying.

I have to say it wasn't the worst I've felt following city, though, far from it.

Maybe that's just me getting older but losing a semi does not kick you in the teeth like getting relegated.

But I thought the same, m27. I actually thought "we will get the c.unts back for this, and soon"

I think Saturday would easily make up for it. In some ways it would be more significant. They becoming also rans and us becoming contenders.

Those wanker little kids and gloating Mr Averages will know that City have risen like a phoenix from the flames and have pecked their fucking head off.

The worse bit about it was there was fuck all we could do.

It sums up their club really that a decision was made behind the scenes to have a special version of "Que Sera..." recorded with the sole intention of playing it when we were locked in after the game. Does it get sadder than that?

If that was their riposte to the "Welcome to Manchester" poster then I think they need a new marketing department.
Here here to everything that's been said on the Old Trafford lock in. Undoubtedly the worst part of my first live City match, even worse than watching the pricks win it. Making matters worse the police then left us for dead to walk through the outgoing home crowd to get to our coaches ... while being threatened and challenged to fights. A big jacket and an Aussie accent were the only things that saved me from having the absolute crap beaten out of me.

If there was to be anything positive taken from the Owen goal and the Rooney goal in the semi-final it was that it's made me worry less about "What if..." because nothing that happens on Saturday will be as bad as that.

The Owen goal was worse for me. I can honestly say that when that goal went in the feeling was the same as when those two Gillingham goals went in at Wembley. It crippled me.

It'll take more than a derby win to show the tide has turned but it could be a huge step in our development, mainly because we would be even closer to getting 4th. The dream is to meet them next year in the chumps league, now that would be tasty.

I fancy our chances this week but i always fancy our chances when we are at home to that lot

Should play the Champions League tune as loud as fuck & get an advert for Ocean Finance on the big screens for 20 minutes whilst we refuse to leave our seats.

Never overly confident going into a derby.

Form goes out of the window and utd are usually specialists at getting a result when they absolutely have to.

That said Darius Vassell has scored in wins over utd. With the team we have now its our strongest chance in years pre game.

Just a shame the build really means nothing... quietly confident, over riding nerves and excitement. Love and hate derby day in equal measures.

I need a clean pair of undies everytime I think about the game, I hope we do turn them over in the words of a former great "I'd love it"...

"The derby in April will be more important than this one" - My words in September to all my rag mates....

My oh my was I right.

Some of the responses

"Don't worry mate, we'll have it wrapped up by then and you'll be fighting for 10th spot again".

"Yeah it will... for you. As per, your cup final"

"Tevez will only have scored 5 by then, maybe he'll nick one in the home derby". Utter Lolage.

"You got what you deserved, your shit" (although at the same time he did say we'd be fighting near the top come April). He's an ex pro, he has some sense at least.

No doubt some of those comments will piss them off as much as it did me at the time.

Bring on Sat, a derby is a derby. They had Rooney last time at our place, and we won. Lets hope is the same!!!

Our team are playing fantastic at the moment and I truly believe they can beat anyone ..... well done lads for yesterday and last week by the way .... but i will still be a nervous wreck next Saturday. I also believe that we can lift our players spirits too by being the 12th man, it should be a brilliant atmosphere .....good luck City
