The Detectives: Fighting Organised Crime

Proper bully. Every copper there was afraid of him. So why did he not have hand/leg cuffs on?

Fecking big lad and no doubt he is capable of causing someone major damage, I said the same but I suppose it is better to try and let him have his outburst and then hopefully calm down than to agitate him any further. Looked like he was just waiting for any sort of trigger to go off on one.

The woman detective played it perfectly. Loved how she drip fed the evidence into the interview.

And how classy was his brief? Chewing gum, smarmy laughing, obviously a QC!

After watching that first episode, I’m happy to take my chances in Chicago, with my own guns! Coincidentally, I spent a very nice afternoon at the range today, putting holes in targets from 7 meters. Needless to say, the paper didn’t survive! ;-)

The episode was nothing more than bullies committing extreme violence and torture for money. The threatening behavior of the primary perp while at the Police Station would have been fun to watch in an American station or jail. If you mess with the bull, you get the horns!

I noticed the name Carlos Buller. Is he a descendant of the Withington Bullers of the late 60s/early 70s?

Scratch the grey surface of Manchester and you see how badly it has gone to shit! Reminds me why I am always happy to get off the plane when I land back in the States! If I could find a nice cottage in the Peak or Lake Districts, maybe, but nearly everything I see in the Lakes requires some local residency bullshit! Ah, freedom!
I suppose America needs twisted views like this to survive.

Watched this last night. The guy who got kidnapped right at the beginning lives a couple of streets away from me.

Yep, I have come across Berkeley, a right rum **** even in his early teenage years, giving it the big one.

Had a run in with him when I was about 17, and him giving it 'don't you know who I am?' Thankfully I used to play football with him a bit when he was much younger, so probably a lucky escape, seemingly!

He always had his little group of cunts going around and saying they were 'with' Berkeley.

It was a great watch and will look forward to episode two.
That's how they operate, they surround themselves with gullible minions who are easily dispensable and available to take the heat when needed. These people are evil fuckers.....master manipulators and bullies who use fear and intimidation to build their abhorrent empires.

If i was in a position....i'd sanction a dedicated team of elite lads to drag these cunts from their pits and take them to a remote location where they would spend their final moments.

Society would be a far better place.

Guess you're cool with all the mass shootings then

The bigger they are shitbags on their own. I’ll jump over there in a minute, I’ll hit someone yeah right heard this all my life talk no action like at matches these cunts who jump up and down shouting come on then, when it kicks off there no where to be seen or still jumping up and down but at the back of the group away from the fighting

It's like people raging at service workers it's bullying and intimidation with minimal risk. The criminals know now everywhere has a camera and the days when if you got nicked and kicked off you unfortunately "Fell down some stairs" are long gone. Like bouncers of yesteryear if you decided to have a pop you got a hiding.

Disturbed me last night this programme!

Lived here all my life in this great City and a few things crossed my mind. One is how just beneath the surface it is actually quite a rough tough place!

i used to play football with one of the Buller's, dealt with Paul Massey a lot when placing security packages on site dealt with David Totton of Brass Handles shooting notoriety a few times and i am no shrinking violet and have always felt safe here but villainy and drugs are clearly rife.

However Paris Blackstock was quite intimidating last night but nothing in all my 45 years has shocked me to the core as the time Prestwich Blue and i nearly came to blows. Colin Prestwich Blue is to my mind the Joe Pesci of this City and i am just glad i backed down all those years ago!

On a separate note could any of those people on that programme last night be rehabilitated or are they too far gone?

You need to get out more mate...Mcr always had its violent crim elements...one big galoot throws his weight around in front of a few bored looking coppers. knowing full well that cameras are on and you get a touch of the vapours??...who do you think can afford yer city centre glass penthouses?...at least 30% of all big town developments are financed through drug money...add in almost all the Vape shops. nail bars and tanning salons.

PS..Prestwich Blue may have peaked. night be the time to call him out.

Watched last night, what a truly depressing and sad city this has become.
I don't feel safe whatsoever anymore with so many shootings, robberies and drug dealing.
I'm moving to the Lake District in a few years, I hate Manchester.
Agreed when you watch that and see the vermin in our City its worrying.
Back in 2010 I went playing golf in the Lakes and was on the exact spot where a few days later taxi driver Derrick Bird shot dead one of his 12 random victims.
A couple of years ago I went to the Suntrust Bank in Sebring, Florida and a week later some whacko shot dead 5 women in the bank for no reason at all.
Life is dangerous and we are merely like bugs some of us get twatted with a rolled up newspaper.
