The deterioration of Blue Moon

nah mate could have been but more likely to have been a thought, you come across as one who can think and type at the same time.

Beware! looks can be deceiving!

On a serious note though, the tone of the forum changes with the fortunes of the team, and so it should do. When we had reason for concern there were plenty of serious threads. Right now as a group we're making hay as the sun shines. God knows we all need a little levity every now and then and this place is as good a place as any to get some.

Guess who's retort just yesterday?

Let me guess - is he a bit dismal, with a penchant for drama, wants to judge who should be in the Poster EDS ....and has a problem with soggy trousers when he disagrees with someone who makes a sensible and optimistic remark?

Cigar for this man.

Yes it's the originator of this very thread.

Personally, I'd try hiding the post counts and join dates. By all means keep the 100 posts to start a thread etc, or whatever it is now.

I often get a real sense on this forum, more so than other forums I frequent, that certain posters (although not all, but quite a few) feel they are somehow better placed to talk about city or other topics because they have a huge post count. Often they'll point out the join date or post count of a fellow poster who dares to question them. This, to be frank, is bollocks; you don't need 50,000 posts behind you to contribute to a debate.

And then this leads to new posters feeling like they need to rack up thousands of posts just to be entitled to an opinion and hence they start posting like a mad person on any thread they can.

Just my theory. In the end though, it's just an internet forum and not something to get overly worried about imo. "I'm leaving", "This forum is getting worse than it was when I first joined 25 years ago" etc etc are all just pointless ego threads really.

Some people really think they're it don't they?! There are posters on here who've been here ages who talk utter shit; there are new posters who contribute fantastically well to this site!

I think a forum for new members is a fuckin shit idea. Some of the people who consider themselves an elite posters need to take their heads out of their arses and realise they're no better than anyone else on here!

The only things I don't like about this forum are:
1.
People who just post one word under quotig someone
This. or FFS.
2. People who resort to name calling (even mods do this shit!).
3. People who don't welcome fans of other clubs when they're sound as fuck and contribute better posts to many City fans on here.
4. Fans of other clubs who are twats.
5. People who think because they found this site before others they are better posters than newer members.

Spot on, however you missed out
6. people who post in small font thinking its witty or original

On the whole it has to be said for the leading City forum the quality is on the whole very poor compared with the leading sites of other clubs, 6th form in jokes that were never funny in the first place, for the record, posting hahahaha Clarkied ahahahahaahaha is a little pathetic, and an overall feeling of aggro, perpetuated often and amusingly by some of the people on here complaining about it!

In the old days I remember being stood at Maine Road watching us play in grainy 8mil.....

The board has evolved as the club have. It's not perfect and never will as nobody is ever accountable for anything written.

It's still a place for information and some good discussion mixed in with some top humour 'the sitbag thread' was very funny and if the board becomes too self obsesed this sort of thing will never see the light of day.

Post counts mean nothing either but I do wonder when someone who has been a member for 2/3 days starts gobbing off as though they own the place.

Everyone new & old should remember that we're all blues (apart from a few Rags, Everton, Spurs etc.) and I was going to say post as you would in the pub but then I think back to some nobheads I've seen drinking and gobbing off.

The bottom line is probably think before starting a new thread and don't post has he got pace, etc it was funny once just cloggs up the threads.
