I wholeheartedly agree with pretty much all thats been said about bluemoon losing some its focus.
Now I know I haven't been a member for anywhere near as long as a lot of others on here, and yes I'm not even a manc, but I am a passionate blue, I come when I can afford it (and when work, and my own football playing) allows which isn't anywhere near often enough for my liking so I realise interms of standing I don't really have any.. But this doesn't stop me enjoying the site, the banter and the general togetherness of being a blue
It does seem now that the forum seems to be taken over by people that want/expect us to win every game by a margin of 5 goals, no player is allowed to a miskick, poor tackle, missed header in a game without being subjected to an onslaught of abuse, and heaven forbid they have a game like Lescott did on tuesday as they may as well be put against a wall now and shot!! Crickey we even have a deluge of threads demanding that Tevez be taken off pens, dropped etc for missing a spot kick.
Yes we all want success, and yes its a lot closer now than at any point in my lifetime, but it was always my thinking that being a City fan was also about being human, being able to accept the odd hiccup on the way, taking it with a sense of humour, which (certainly on the match threads) seems to have disappeared in a lot of fans here
If people just took a step back, breathed and then posted then we may find that bluemoon hasn't got anything wrong with it, City fans are, and always will be able to rise above any other fan in this league, money or no money.. Lets keep it this way
We still have some quality moments, the train slapping one kept me entertained all sunday until it was sabotaged

1. Are any of those 'jokes' as offensive as wishing death on one of our players? If you do find them offensive (as it seems you do), then I apologise. I guess each person has a different idea of what is an acceptable comment/post.

I suppose if people replied to the topic rather than replying to the poster who started it, that would be a good place to start improving. After all, this thread is now largely one which is being used to snipe at Dave...rather than actually discussing whether he may have had a point...

Here is my take this situation and i was going to post a similar topic a few weeks ago, but i held back as i would have probably had some nonsense replies from some childish posters who are now amongst us.
1) I feel that the site as a whole has deteriorated in the past 6 months. The forum has grown by quite a lot as it has become more and more popolar with people who have joined up, but software issues need addressing and sharpish. The site simply is not reliable anymore and i dont even come on here after any news of significant proportions or after a match as i would result in waiting for a page to load up for minutes on end, only for an error message to appear which is very frustrating. There was a recent "upgrade" which has spead up the overall site performance but still at busy times, the site is unusable.
2) As regards to posters from other forums/clubs we need to make them feel more welcome. As soon as someone posts and says hello it is like a pack of wolves waiting to pounce. City as a club have been slated since the takeover and so have us as fans, and with these pathetic and childish outburst, we simply dont help ourselves.
3) This "legendary" status some posters have, or think they have. It really is tedious and annoying. Why is is that some people think they are above everyone else and better than most other posters? Obviously the MODS are here to protect the site and maintain that it runs effectively but people think they can constantly tell others what to do etc
4) People have different views, and as we have a large number of users obviously we are going to get people who believe and think in different ways. That does not make poster A any better than poster B, they just share different views on a matter. I got slated on this forum about a year ago for something i believe in and i recieved personal PM messages which resulted in me not posting for a while. This has to stop
5) Multiple user names, why have the MODS not clamped down on this? People are just using different names to post on the forum, simply ban them, it isnt hard is it?
6) ITK's. People know people in places, and people get told certain stuff which they decide to pass on. This is crucial to a forum as it gets people talking but certain users just slate them and tell them that "this will never happen" or " your wrong" etc. Sometimes people will get some stuff wrong, but dont personally slate them, mistakes happen.
