Bought this yesterday will give it a go tonight.

Never played oblivion though.

Any tips from anyone?

Talk to everyone you come across. You will get more quests. Dont just do the main quest, have a wonder around and take your time. Im 15 hours in and not even left whiterun yet

Watched a mate play it last night, funniest thing he did was use a dragon shout to knock his follower off the side of a cliff, funny thing is he survived!

How do you use your Dragon shout? Mine is grayed out and says I can't use it........ not had a straight run at it seeing as I'm always working and was busy last weekend!! Got a week off work soon so I'll kill some hours then :-)

After a certain point in the story you get the Shout ability, RB on 360 to activate.

Followers seem to revive after being 'killed'. Tried it out with a couple of guys, both were killed, I move away from the battle, then they wander back to me a few minutes later. Not seen the resurrection first hand but presume it's a default 'follower can;t be killed' rule. Or a bug. Or they're all really good at playing dead.

they probably get knocked unconscious like in Oblivion so they can't be killed I was going to get the douchbag from whiterun (the guy with the guitar) to help me with the golden claw quest but it was pretty piss easy!!

Has anyone had any problems with sprint?? I paused the game to answer my front door when I unpaused it and resumed gameplay and when I started sprinting it would stop after a second even when the sprint bar is full?!?
