The end of Dzeko

don't think dzeko will go back to germany...but who cares what I think :)[/quote]

Why not?
It's not just to Germany, it's to Bayern Munich.
If Edin was there he would now be playing the Champions League .

Doesn't he like Germany?

I agree.but why did we bought him in the first place?

There's been a lot of debate as to who decided the transfer, was it Mancini or was it a committee decision? There is a 5-man transfer committee at City, Mancini is just 1 of the 5. Khaldoon and Marwood are two others, I'd guess Rigg was four and maybe Platt the fifth? I've read in the past that Mancini wanted Cavani even before we signed Dzeko.

shouldn't have said that...conspiracy theorists will be rubbing their hands with this information...

doesn't matter if it's bayern...going back there would simply mean accepting defeat, I'm not sure he's a man who accepts defeat that easily...if he does go it would be either spain or italy, or another club in england...but I'm sure him staying or going depends on many things right now...

I think that's a very valid point because Mancini likes versatile players and apart from Dzeko, every other signing Mancini has made can play in at least two different positions(obviously apart from Pantilimon).

Mirror:

Bayern Munich are set to hand Manchester City misfit Edin Dzeko a return to Germany.

The Bosnian striker has struggled to recapture the consistent form that prompted City to pay Wolfsburg £27million just 15 months ago.

And Roberto Mancini’s decision to hand Carlos Tevez a return to his starting line-up ahead of Dzeko, 26, during the week was further confirmation that he is now surplus to requirements at the Etihad. Sunday Mirror Sport revealed earlier this year that Dzeko (above) was on his way out a City.

Bayern have been monitoring Dzeko’s situation and are in the market for a new target- man after being made aware that top scorer Mario Gomez is on Real Madrid’s radar.

Mancini has told staff he doesn’t believe Dzeko is suited to City’s short-passing style of play.

City would want to recoup most of their original outlay on him.

I agree.but why did we bought him in the first place?

Mario Gomez has prolonged his contract to last until June 2016 two weeks ago... - he ain't going nowhere...

And Dzeko's chances to play constantly in a one-forward-system with Gomez as first man are near to nothing.

Bayern needs a second target man - but it has to be somebody that is totally different to Gomez to be a real alternative. And Dzeko is not of that kind.

If he had a good touch he would stay but clearly hasn't. Tevez today the ball stuck to him.
I do believe dzeko comes alive in the box and if you look at goals for Wolfsburg I thought we were buying the new Alan shearer as they were flying in from all angles !!!
He may benefit a seasons loan at another prem club ?

I don't think it should be hard to recoup our purchase fees for dzeko. 18 goals is awesome considering he was the 3rd choice striker in a mismatched offense.

Yeah where he was a flop and managed to be the worst player in the best team in the world

Jo would have won a la liga medal in that barca team

so once again....stupid argument

You too need to slap yourself! You're talking shyt on Ibra? Come oooon man! I don't know that the world has EVER seen a player of his physical stature and the type of skills he possesses. Truely ONE OF A KIND player.

I love Dzeko...but Ibra is like a Super Dzeko...Football Frankenstein Monster...combo of Ed, Kun, Silva, and the mean spirit of Wooney. With a canon on his shoulders, and on both feet.

I wish Dzeko would reach half of Ibra's status.

Really? You missed his pathetic cameo against West Brom then? He looked like someone who would all too readily accept defeat in that game.

If he was as proud as you suggest, he'd have shown a bit of passion and desire to set the record straight rather than strolling around and sulking like a mard arse.

LOL right back at you. He might be better and blowing blokes and playing chess, but if it's footie you're talking about you're either wrong, blind, or ignorant. Gomez has scored a bunch this season but give him the ball outside of 10 yards from goal and you might as well hand it to the other team.
