The end of financial 'fair' play?

Anyone think Twatinni will say that this deal is ABOVE fair market value and instigate an adjustment in revenue for PL clubs !

Would love to see him try, he'd get ripped from pillar to post !

Bet the glazers a rubbing there hands hmmmm what can I buy......

...nope - what can I pay off more like. They are using manure to prop up their ailing shopping mall empire, which is unlikely to be bailed out by US consumer spending anytime soon. This extra money will go the same way as the Ronaldo "warchest" - straight to the Glazers creditors.

You're misunderstanding FFP

It's not about limiting money.

It's against people trying to fund progress through debt.
If you do it through commercial ventures that's fine.

It's basically a way to put a handle on spiraling wages.
It's not about creating a level financial playing field.

So you thinks its fair that any Club who doesn`t owe a penny to Jack Shit,is NOT allowed to spend above their weight, with UEFA knowing full well that our owner isn`t going to do a runner.
I`d be more inclined at looking at those clubs who have been in shit street for years and are still paying £m`s on Interest Rate charges,or look more closely at PSG who appear to be doing no wrong in that Frogs opinion.
Spanish Clubs who constantly run up £m`s in losses, but are bailed out with certainly a level playing field by virtue of their scam of a TV rights.Thats fair to the remainder of the other Spanish Teams.
We know full well what FFP is about,as our team is being scrutinised more than any other European Club, but what the fuck,I mean Twatini just loves us,doesn`t he.
Now that isn`t a level playing field, would you agree ?

Of course it isn't....it's about keeping the Exclusives Club only available to Exclusive Members who've been bankrolling each other in their own little party that they wrote the rules for and have been creaming off for years now.

Since the main requirement to attend this party is to have ''money'' what do you do? You ensure that all the big, big available ''money'' can only be acquired by attending the party in the first place, i.e. you and your exclusive mates. This eliminates all those 'unwanted' football clubs from gatecrashing as they'll NEVER have the financial muscle to get their way into the Exclusive UCL. And if they DO have players with talent, then by jove THEY'D be the ones with all the money and they'd just buy the players off them!

Ooer, but what do you do about 'new money'? 'Investors money'!!They hadn't counted on that eventuality! Oh...erm....dash it all....well, re-write the rule book so that only those who spend OUR sort of money that has been earned through football means can attend our party. Yes, that's the ticket! That renders all their 'new money' obsolete and keeps the Exclusives even MORE exclusive, as now NO-ONE except those already in the Club has a chance of attending! Haw haw!

That's absolutely not the case. None of City's transfer spending has been funded through debt, it's been funded through capital investment in the team and that will not be allowed in the future.

If they were worried about debt they'd have brought in regulations penalising clubs who were in debt. They've not done that. They are penalising teams who invest more than they generate through "football income".

In other words, the traditional big European Superpowers are completely protected, no matter how much debt they rack up. Any ambitious club with wealthy owners wanting to invest in players and catch up the Superpowers are no longer allowed to do so if they wish to play in Europe.

Barmy.

Unless you happened to have progressed through debt first, like, say, your club... or Barcelona, or Real Madrid. If you already have a big pile of debt, that's just fine. Ironically, to all those clubs that ran themselves properly and didn't run up debt in the first place but who never made it into the Champions League elite will be rewarded by... never being able to get in the Champions League... Whereas most of the Champions League clubs gambled and got themselves into debt buying players and now earn enough to 'break even' by their rules. This behaviour, the behaviour they're now trying to ban (according to them) has been thoroughly rewarded. This is fine the world of UEFA who give out bigger fines for being a minute late on the pitch than for racism.

100% pure equity investments though, bad thing aren't they? Wake up and smell the bullshit. This is the elite clubs of Europe protecting themselves from competition. Fortunately, for us, it's too late, we've made it inside and these rules will benefit us.

Now trundle off somewhere else and try your patronising act. Here it won't work because City fans know these regulations better than any other fanbase, probably in Europe.
