The End of on Street Parking within walking distance of the Etihad

Or more pertinently what percentage of the crowd would our owners like to be based in the city centre ?Tourists don’t need parking spaces.

It wouldn’t surprise me at all if City were complicit in these restrictions - just another front in the all out war they’re waging on legacy fans
Or they’re going to build multi storey car parks to monopolise and maximise parking revenue.

My stepdaughter and partner and family live a five-minute walk from AFC Bournemouth’s stadium, there is parking for maybe 200 cars by the ground, which holds not much more than 10k supporters. The new owner is proposing a new stadium adjacent to the existing stadium with double the capacity. Nobody in their right mind would approach my stepdaughter’s house within two hours of kick-off, or an hour or two after final whistle. Is it not time that Premier League clubs recognised the impact of their success has an impact on local residents and transport? Every single roadside car parking space east of Bournemouth Town Centre fills up every time they play at home, and some arseholes don’t even care if they block driveways. Bournemouth played Liverpool yesterday, and for the first time they couldn’t get out because some Scouser had parked across their access to the drive. They knew it was a scouser because it had a Liverpool sticker on the windscreen.

How would this affect Disabled Blue Badge Holders? Blue badge holders are allowed to park anywhere (except double Red lines) for up to 3 hours, providing they are not causing an obstruction or dangerously parked.

The argument here is that a lot of the area near the ground is industrial. The residential areas already have restrictions in place, so the parking over somebody's drive scenario doesn't happen.

Keeps supporters around the stadium after FT waiting for trams so the club can sell more beer
It's absolutely ridiculous to implement this when public transport hasn't improved to take extra capacity
All that will happen is supporters will park an extra ten minutes walk away and those areas will start to suffer

It's rearranging the deck chairs
