Yeah, pretty sure he's already signed a 12 month contract extension which takes him through to Summer 2014, when he'll turn 40 I believe. Last night he looked 40, didn't seem to be able to keep up with the pace of the game.

When the handbags kicked off near the end, I almost got thrown out of the pub for the language that came out of my mouth directed at him!

Sat in a meeting this morning listening to three rags slagging Family Guy and Rooney. Proper funny

United were foolish giving him another contract. They bowed to populist media sentiment after his goals against QPR and Everton. He can no longer have a major influence on major games, and that was starkly shown last night, where he ended up just getting frustrated and fouling others all the time. Retiring after this season, just after possibly winning United's 20th title would have been a good way to bow out, now he's just going to play a bit part role, and being a weak link in the team.

Stange choice to start him if you ask me - almost as though the old pisscan had written off the match before it started.

Nearly 40 and he starts him against the CHAMPIONS - you couldn't make it up!

BTW where was Scholsey (just in case one geriatric wasn't enough!)

I actually thought they missed scholes at times, they were passing it around using carrick and giggs and it was just going nowhere then reverted to passing to the defence ect

hopefully they'll both retire now so united can go and spunk multi millions on 2 flops watch us win the title with another team full of "home grown talent"

He was a proper mouthy obnoxious nuisance last night, and how many fouls did he commit? Quite funny really watching the scrawny old grey prick thinking he's some kind of enforcer. In reality he was just hacking people down whohsd waltzed past him

Platty said in his interview that our game plan included pressing hard on Giggs and Carrick to reduce their influence on the game. Worked pretty well, with Bobby showing again that he can outwit baconface in the tactics department.
