The end of the Conservative Party?

Wrexham striker Paul Mullin will not wear his controversial new boots which featured an X-rated message for the Conservatives.

The 11-goal forward had posted an image on Instagram of the boots, with 'f*** the Tories' printed on the side of them.View attachment 59211
Should have been "This boot kills fascists".

There is a permanent negative outlook on politicians and sometimes just being decent and middel of the road is not enough. Some people will vote for any old bollocks if they think it might change their life. Boris was the type to capture that sort of spirit, as was Trump. In retrospect those types generally make thinks worse. Recent example being Liz Truss. Rishy is a very unknown quantity as he seems to pragmatic to go down the any old bollocks approach. But tory mandate and policy agenda is full of bollocks so something will have to give.
Plenty of old bollocks at PMQ today.

Never underestimate the Tory party, they are not the most successful party in the world in terms of time in power for nothing. They seriously believe they are the natural party of Government and their end goal as Thatcher's darling Alan Clark wrote in his book on the history of the Tory party is that the party exists to be in power for powers sake. It has and always will be capable of reinvention, especially when that reinvention brings them their desired goal, which is to preserve the status quo for those in positions of power and to ensure those with power and privilege retain that what they believe is their birth right.

The Tories would sell their own Grannies to get into power and their own Grannies would agree to be sold for the good of the party.

Tory thinking just Like Labour thinking has many strands, the difference is the Tory party will unite behind a winning strand whilst Labour will argue minute political differences on points of perceived principle. I know that because I am guilty of it and even with Labour on the brink of an historic victory I cannot on a matter principal support Starmer, whilst the Tories could not give a fuck about principle, they care inly for power.

Another excuse for the tories to clamp down on strikers.

Principles on their own won’t improve our country if they don’t translate into a vote for the party best placed to get rid of one of the worst governments in history, even if that party will only implement some of what you think is needed, and is led by someone you don’t approve of. It’s better to see improvement in some areas that deserve it rather than none at all.

And that is for the ever the problem the Labour Party has, because its opponents do not care about principle, they care about power. When Labour has a man of principle as leader, he is undermined because factions of the Labour party also have no principles, they behave just like the Tories

In effect what you are saying is that the Labour party cannot have it all, but the Tory party can, that my friend is acquiescence to the status quo the Tories work so hard to support. That limits the achievability of any Labour government.

It’s not the Labour Party that work off principles, it’s the people behind the party who use it for their own measure. Take yourself, a principled person who would rather see a continuation of this shit-show, all in order to uphold your principles.

I’m unsure who is the problem here, the Tory Party or those who will not cede to what their morality tells them, all because of their ‘principles’.

They're not in a straight fight with Fianna Fail since Irish independence I reckon.
