Good old fashioned name like the Gasworks End for the North Stand.

To a certain London club, this would never be acceptable in this day n age.

Shoulda called the north and south the Swift and Trautmann stands like was mooted when we first moved there, but oh no we can't confuse the away fans now can we

The trouble is that once they've been named they cant really be changed should another legend come along. The stadium's going to be there for decades. Naming a stand should only be done once every 10-15 years or so.

A really serious consideration this - only way it could be overcome really is if names which could eventually be more easily changed (e.g. Kippax) were used

I wanted the Colin Bell Stand to instead have been called the Bell End but for some reason it didn't quite happen.

Rumours around at the time it was named, that Man Utd supporters were voting for King Col, so it would be named the Bell End.

They really don't know us, do they :)
